Currently #2

Here’s what I was reading, listening to, watching, eating and admiring in November.

Reading Cool Hand Luke by Donn Pearce. It was a 99p Kindle book and as I vaguely remembered watching and enjoying the film, I just had to snatch it. I’m half of the way through and I’m really enjoying it – it’s very different to my usual books, but it’s very interesting. Blog-wise, I am loving Vagenda Mag and Like The Vodka. The next book I plan to read is The Snow Child as I bought the beautiful hardback edition with some book tokens I happened upon.

Listening to I would happily listen to Waterloo Sunset by The Kinks for the majority of my waking hours.

Watching I spend an inordinate amount of time watching Desperate Housewives and getting unnecessarily upset over it. I was on the verge of tears when Dave nearly killed MJ. (E4 is showing old episodes, I’m not just ridiculously behind.)

Eating My favourite combination lately is salsa and cream cheese. I don’t care what it’s on or in, I just want these things in my belly. Muffins and wraps have proved effective vessels, but I’m toying with the idea of making a pasta sauce. Yay or nay?

Admiring I wish I had a picture of the view while I drove over to Kendal on Saturday. My ability to concentrate was greatly hindered by the compulsion to gawp at the pinky-red sun, hanging low in the sky, surrounded by delicate mist and rolling hills. That poetic enough for you?

My camera is finally fixed but of course I have misplaced my charger in the meantime, so here goes: a pictureless post.

  1. Although salsa and creamcheese sounds like a delicious combination on bread or crackers, I’m not sure it’ll make delightful pasta sauce. That being said, experimentation in the kitchen is always worth it. Let us know how it turns out!

  2. Cool Hand Luke sounds really interesting, what’s it about? (Not that I need anymore books to read, seriously HUGE pile) I love having beautiful hardback editions of books, they’re so expensive though! My boyfriend loves that food combination, I’m not such a fan. I think it could work in pasta salad though? I need to do a post like this sometime, I love reading them :-)
