Day 11 – What’s in your makeup bag?

my everyday makeup

A makeup connoisseur I am not. On a daily basis I wear either no makeup, or mascara and concealer.

No. 7 Extreme Length waterproof mascara in black The perfect mascara, in my humble opinion. Very black, thin brush, not gloopy or smudgy, easy to apply, easy to take off. A bit on the pricey side (for a student) but definitely worth it.

No. 7 eyeshadow palette in Beside the Sea This has a white/grey colour that I use all the time and love, and a blue and a green colour that are also very nice and I wear occasionally.

17 Hide the Spot concealer stick I don’t wear foundation because it feels weird on my skin, but unfortunately I do break out in spots every now and again, which is where this concealer steps in. Probably not the most effective one on the market, and doesn’t exactly give me flawless-looking skin, but it does what I want it to do without making my skin worse.

No. 7 lip lacquer in red A new addition to the bag. It’s not anywhere near as bright as I thought it would be, but it’s a lovely colour and long lasting.

Something in my makeup bag which may soon be in the bin is 17 Photo Flawless mascara. Do not buy this! It may look cheap and jazzy but it is horrible. It was so runny I had the bright idea of leaving it open overnight to dry it out, which somehow seemed to make it runnier.

All the other makeup I own consists of bright coloured eyeshadow for party purposes, my favourite being a particularly obnoxious bright turquoise.
